Wi-Fi connections

Follow our recommendations below for a smooth operation of the VivoLead mobile app.

Avoid any Wi-Fi problems before they occur

Way too often exhibitors experience problems with internet connection availability on the trade show stand – even if they have purchased a so-called reliable internet connection from the service providers at the exhibition center. There are a number of recommended actions you can do your self to secure and boost your internet connection speed.

It is highly advisable to purchase internet access through the exhibition center. This ensures a dedicated and more stable connection compared to relying on free public Wi-Fi networks that is way slower and less reliable. Make sure you get the internet connection you paid for – way too often exhibitions centers does not provide you with the bandwidth speed performance they advertise. You can easily check this with app like SpeedTest on your mobile phone (iphone linkAndroid Link)

Wi-Fi setup

Installing a Wi-Fi network router with a recommended speed of 5 -10 megabits is crucial as minimum. This provides exhibitors with a sufficient bandwidth to operate their digital lead management system without interruptions.

Avoid public Wi-Fi

Using the free public Wi-Fi network signal offered by the exhibition center is not recommended due to potential speed issues. These networks may be congested with numerous devices, leading to slow and unreliable connections.

4G/5G solutions

While using 4G/5G SIM card solutions for mobile lead registration is an option, it may pose problems in exhibition halls where multiple devices are competing for the same mobile signal. This will result in a less reliable and much slower connection.

Bring SIM card router

If you are exhibiting at places where you for some reason can not purchase a dedicated intenet wi-fi connection you have the option to bring your own SIM Card Wi-Fi Router. We have a favor one we recommend to our clients – see below

Get a reliable internet connection

A reliable internet connection is crucial for the successful operation of a digital lead retrieval solution at a trade show.

Bring your own SIM CARD Wi-Fi router.

The GL-X3000 is a Wi-Fi 6 cellular gateway designed to provide reliable cellular networks in remote locations and high speed internet in urban areas. It has six external antennas for long range connection, two SIM Cards for selecting between the ISP with stronger connections, and Multi-WAN between the WAN port, SIM Card, and Repeater.

At VivoLead we recommend this router to our clients and this is our honest opinion – we are NOT receiving any commission from the manufacturer of this Wi-Fi device and furthermore we would not recommend this if it was not working.

Load balancer - shifts between 2 internal SIM cards
Connect up to 70 devices
574Mbps (2.4GHz), 2402Mbps (5GHz)
6 antennas for long range connection
Failover security function

Bring your own Wi-Fi extenders.

Bringing your own Wi-Fi extenders is a proactive solution. This ensures that you have the ability to boost your Wi-Fi signal on your trade show stand, even in large exhibition halls with potential signal challenges. This investment can be cost-effective in the long run and provides consistency across different events. (Check trade show centers regulations for this approach before bringing your own Wi-Fi extenders as some exhibition centers will not allow this model).

By prioritizing a reliable internet connection and implementing these recommendations, exhibitors can enhance their overall trade show experience, improve lead capture efficiency, and maintain a professional image.
